Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.
Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of Martial Arts America's instructors and other staff members, starting with Juan Carlos Nava:
Juan Carlos Nava (5th Dan)
Started Martial Arts in 1977 currently holds a 5th degree black belt in TKD, 3rd Degree in Hapkido. He was a USTU TKD National champion in 1990. He is currenlty a blue belt on Brazilian Jiujitsu under Leo Cantu and Vinicius Draculino from Gracie Barra.
Hector Diaz (3rd Dan)
Hector is our chief instructor , he holds a 3rd Dan in Taekwondo a
Joey Medina (3rd Dan)

Arturo Tomas Benavides (Grappling assitant Instructor)
Tom was part of the University of Texas greco-roman wrestling team, He is Master Nava's private student. He is a Red Belt in Taekwondo and kickboxing. He is Our Brazilian Jiujitsu instructor, art in which he holds a Blue Belt from Gracie Barra under Leo Cantu and Vincius Draculino Magallares.

David Borowitz (Advisor/Examiner)
